Each year, Brooks Law Group looks forward to giving back to our local Winter Haven community through our Turkey Giveaway. This annual event, now a collaboration of a long list of supporters, provides Thanksgiving meals for families in need throughout our area. Our 12th giveaway took place on Saturday, November 30th, 2024, and we’re thrilled to announce that it was a huge success!
What is the Brooks Law Group Annual Turkey Giveaway?
The Brooks Law Group Annual Turkey Giveaway was born from a desire to help support the same community that has supported us for many years. We believe that holidays, like Thanksgiving, are meant to be cherished. They are times for families to gather and memories to be made around a warm meal. Sadly, many families in our area don’t get the privilege of experiencing this each year due to financial hardship and circumstances outside of their control. No family should go without a Thanksgiving meal, so our team decided to change that.
We began giving away turkeys for Thanksgiving, and now that tradition has grown into giving away full holiday dinners to hundreds of local families. How is that possible?

The Turkey Giveaway Depends on Local Contributors
Annual Turkey Giveaway
We couldn’t make the Annual Turkey Giveaway happen on our own! Many local contributors make this event possible each year. This year’s event was successful because of community-driven businesses and organizations like:

- Restaurants Against Hunger
- Farmer Jack
- Harvest Meat Market
- Keller Williams Realty
- WPCV
- The Winter Haven Police Department
These contributors gave their resources, time, and effort to ensure families in Winter Haven felt cared for this holiday season. They made it possible for those in need to share a memorable meal with the ones they love on Thanksgiving.
Volunteers Are The Heart of The Annual Turkey Giveaway
In addition to the many contributors listed above, many local volunteers are the backbone of the Annual Turkey Giveaway at Brooks Law Group. Not only do many of our staff show up, but their spouses, children, and friends rally together to make the event a success. What’s more, local volunteers unrelated to our office offer their hands and time, joining us as we seek to give back to our community. We thank the many individuals who participated in this year’s event and hope you felt our gratitude as you served.
