Cookies, Community, and a Little Florida Rain
What do you get when you mix locally crafted cookies, a community gathering, and unpredictable Florida weather? An evening worth remembering!
On Friday, October 2, Brooks Law Group headed to Downtown Lakeland for Cookie Carnival, a sweet community event that gave guests the chance to wander through the park and discover cookies crafted by local creators. From tempting treats to friendly conversations, the event offered plenty of reasons to explore, and maybe find a new favorite cookie along the way.
The weather, however, had plans of its own. With showers coming and going throughout the event, it would have been easy to call it an early night. Instead, we stuck around, kept our tent up, and made the most of every break in the rain.

Rain or Shine, We Love Meeting Our Community
For us, community events are about much more than setting up a table. They give our team an opportunity to meet the people who live and work in the communities we serve while reflecting our commitment to serving all people.
Throughout Cookie Carnival, we chatted with guests who stopped by our Brooks Law Group tent, handed out free materials, and enjoyed being part of the festivities. Even with the on-again, off-again showers, there were smiles, conversations, and plenty of community spirit to go around.
And, of course, an event centered around cookies certainly made braving the weather a little sweeter!
Thanks for Weathering the Rain With Us!
We want to thank everyone who stopped by our tent and spent a few minutes with us. Events like Cookie Carnival remind us why showing up in our local communities matters. Sometimes, the most memorable evenings aren’t the ones with perfect weather, they’re the ones where everyone decides to have a good time anyway.
We look forward to seeing you at another community event soon. Until then, learn more about our team, our work, and the people we serve by visiting Brooks Law Group.
