Ofelia bravely recounts her experience after a traumatic accident while driving her truck, where she was unexpectedly rear-ended by a driver who failed to see her, resulting in chronic soreness and pain.
Please tell us about your accident.
I was getting ready to go pick up my granddaughter, cause I was going to babysit for my son, and I had called him that I was on my way, but then I had to stop because there was a car in front that was going to turn left. So I just waited for them to get started again. So they start moving, by the time I realized I was not expecting it because, you know, it was coming real fast, the man that hit me. So, it just like hit me on the back, and thank God I had start my truck and started rolling when he just hit me from the back. And then of course I called my son, and he was there in about 15 minutes, and the ambulance came and they took my statement. And I tell him, “why did you hit me?” He said, “well I didn’t see you.”
