This past Saturday was our seventh year holding the Brooks Law Group Turkey Giveaway in Winter Haven, and it was an amazing event this year! It was also our first year holding a giveaway in Tampa. That means we gave out more turkeys this year than ever before! We gave out a grand total of 400 turkeys to families in need for this holiday season. You can ask anyone on our staff what their favorite Brooks Law Group event is, and the answer will be unanimous. It’s the Turkey Giveaway! Every year it gets better, and this year was no exception!
Two Turkey Giveaways, One Year
For the first time, we opened up our Tampa office at 2002 5th Avenue, Unit 101 for a giveaway. As we’ve grown our client base in Tampa, we figured it was only right that we start to grow our events for giving back in that same community. Since it was our first year, we started smaller than our Winter Haven event and gave out 50 turkeys in the Ybor area. We plan on growing this event every year, just like we have in Winter Haven! For those of you in the Tampa area, be sure to keep your eye out for news about the Tampa Turkey giveaway next Thanksgiving season. We would love to see you attend!
As always, we also held our Winter Haven giveaway. This marked the seventh year we’ve given out free turkeys at our Winter Haven campus. This year’s turnout was really something! We started handing out turkeys at 10am, but there were people lined up around the block several hours before set up even began. We were blessed to provide 350 families with the turkeys they needed for their own Thanksgiving feast. That’s what we’re most thankful for this year!

We couldn’t have made our Winter Haven giveaway so special without our partners: Restaurants Against Hunger and Farmer Jack Produce. Not only did families attending the Winter Haven giveaway receive a turkey, they also received all the sides needed to make a full Thanksgiving meal. We provided the turkeys, they provided the rest of the feast! You can see the tables piled high with plenty of sides in all of the pictures we took this year. You can also see the freezer truck that Farmer Jack graciously loaned us to keep those turkeys frozen while we bagged and handed them out. It’s a blessing to have such wonderful local organizations willing to work with us to make our annual event the best it could possible be.
