Tampa Police need your help finding the driver of a rented 2015 Camaro that was involved in a hit and run on March 21st overnight. The driver fled on foot in the Woodlawn Heights neighborhood, it is unknown if the driver is the person who rented the Camaro in Orlando. The victim, Herbert M. James, was a father of two and he was not wearing his seatbelt when he was struck by the Camaro. On March 22nd 2015 at approximately 10:32pm Dean Crislip was traveling on his motorcycle along Old Pasco Road when he was killed by a vehicle turning left across the southbound lane. Crislip was impacted on his right side, he was transported to Florida Hospital where he died from his injuries. The investigation is ongoing.
On March 15th on 301 a Chevy pickup truck rear-ended a Ford causing the Ford to travel into the southbound lane where he struck a Pontiac. The impact killed the 16 year old rear passenger, Kelmy Tanon, who was not wearing a seat belt at the time. The Pontiac driver, Zuleika Gonzalez-Tiernan, of Zephyrhills also had a 9 year old passenger in the front seat. They both were taken to Lakeland Regional Medical Center for serious injuries.
On March 12th a 49 year old St. Petersburg woman was killed while driving her scooter on busy 62nd avenue north. The scooter was struck by a Buick Lesabre driven by 73 year old, Frederick Stevens who was going west bound. According to the Troopers at the scene Stevens was turning left and hit the scooter- driver Tracie Ann York was ejected and died at BayFront Medical Center from her injuries.
One month earlier on February 25th, in Plant City a motorcyclist was impacted by a Dodge van causing him to die at the scene. The van crossed into the lane of Marcelo Cruzes-Tovar who was only 30 years old. The accident caused long delays on US 92.
In the early morning hours of February 25th a Lakeland man was killed while travelling westbound on I-4, he rear-ended the SUV while driving a small Honda. The 30 year old SUV driver slammed on his brakes while driving at high speeds on I-4 for no apparent reason. The SUV driver is under investigation for intoxication.
