A team from Brooks Law Group had an excellent time at Ybor City’s Cuban Sandwich Festival last Saturday! We had a blast meeting many new people and trying new foods while enjoying the DJs great taste in music!

The International Cuban Sandwich Festival has become one of the biggest competitions with entries from England, London, South Korea, California, New York, Tennessee, and Florida among others. But that’s not it! Believe it or not, Saturday was a BIG day for some children and teenagers there (ages ranging from 4 to 17) – the Junior Chefs of America organized a contest allowing them to show off their talent and cooking skills.

This event is especially important for us for several reasons.

  • First, we are proud to say that our office in the historic Ybor City opened full time in January of this year! We want to be there full-time to serve the residents of YBOR City and surrounding Tampa neighborhoods and communities.
  • Second, we love being part of the thriving city and diverse culture; and can’t wait to continue to grow and participate in the coming events that Tampa has to offer!

Steve was born in New Orleans, Louisiana. As was the practice for new doctors his father worked day and night during his medical residency at Charity Hospital there. Steve comes from a long line of doctors. His father, his grandfather, his great grandfather, even two uncles were all specialists and/or surgeons in their chosen medical specialties, including internal medicine specialist, obstetrics / gynecology, neurosurgery and general practice / surgery. His great-great grandfather was the Surgeon General of Ohio during the Civil War.
