Steve Brooks joins us this week from the southernmost point of the US in the Florida Keys. It’s finally time to reveal our two talented winners in this Fall’s student scholarship program.
Announcing the Fall 2019 Scholarship Winners!
We asked students across the state of Florida to write on the topic of texting while driving and how they’d fix the problem if they were in charge. We reserved a whole lot of wonderful submissions this semester, but as always, only two could take home the prizes.
Congratulations to our two winners this semester!
- In first place, we have Kenzie Luckett!
Kenzie is a senior at Deland High School who will graduate high school with her diploma and her AA in psychology from a dual-enrollment program this upcoming May. She plans on attending UF for undergrad and then pursuing her JD after. She’ll be taking home $1,000 scholarship to the school of her choice. Congratulations! - In second place, we have Justin Kelleher!
Justin is a senior at Olympia High School. He plans on attending either Florida Southern or UF for a degree in business and psychology before pursuing a doctorate in Physical Therapy. He’ll take home a $250s scholarship to the school of his choice. Nice job!
