“Supporting A Grieving Mother – Beach’s Heartbreaking Case”
Every attorney has cases that just stick with them. I had a tragic incident where a mother had reached out to several other law firms, and they decided not to pursue her case. She contacted me and Brooks Law Group and told me the story about how she went and took her young son over to a friend’s house to play. The children were out playing. The mother was not aware that there was access to a pond in the back of the house. After some time, our client’s mother was looking for her young son and the son had tragically drowned in the lake. Now, this was a young mother who had lost her son, lost the love of her life, and when she contacted me, and she had told me her story, and I realized many other attorneys had declined this case, I felt it was imperative that this mom was heard. That someone was there for her and her family. We took the case, we litigated it, the case went to arbitration. Unfortunately, the only remedy the legal field has is the arbitrator’s award, and it will never bring back her son. At least I can say that I was there for the mother, helped her through a difficult time, that she was heard, and you know, there was some justice brought for her deceased son.
