Florida personal injury wrongful death attorney Steve Brooks discusses what discovery is in a personal injury accident case.

Discovery is just like it sounds. It helps us discover information about the case in several different ways. We can send out written questions -- called interrogatories -- to the other side, who must answer them in a timely manner. We can also send out requests to produce certain items that the defense has in their possession. We can examine it and determine whether or not we want to argue if we want the jury to see it. Deposition is probably the most important part of discovery. A deposition is an informal interview with very few people present where the defense gets to ask you questions. As your attorneys, we will be there to help guide you through what you should -- and should not -- answer. Watch the video to learn more.
