A CME -- or Compulsory Medical Examination -- is a medical exam that you are compelled to take by the defense in your case. It basically means that you must see their doctor to be examined. On most of our cases we send our attorney and a videographer to tape the evidence and to confirm what the doctor is doing is legal. The doctor may not give you any invasive testing and is not your treating doctor. He is simply a doctor paid for by the defense -- by the insurance company -- to verify your medical claims.
