It is with heavy hearts that the Brooks Law Group and the Winter Haven community mourn the loss of four individuals in a tragic plane crash Tuesday, March 7th on Lake Hartridge. We extend our deepest condolences to the families, friends, and colleagues of those who lost their lives in this devastating incident.

Among the victims were Faith Irene Baker, a 24-year-old pilot and flight instructor at Sunrise Aviation, and Zachary Jean Mace, a 19-year-old student at Polk State College. Our thoughts and prayers are with their families, as well as the Polk State College community, who are undoubtedly feeling the impact of this tragedy. We also extend our sympathies to the family of Randall Elbert Crawford, a 67-year-old from Pennsylvania and 78-year-old Louis Defazio of Texas.

The Winter Haven community is shocked and saddened by this loss, and we stand together in support of those affected by this tragedy. We thank the first responders and officials who are working tirelessly to investigate the cause and circumstances of the collision.

During this difficult and stressful time, we urge everyone to keep the families of the victims in their thoughts and prayers.

Steve was born in New Orleans, Louisiana. As was the practice for new doctors his father worked day and night during his medical residency at Charity Hospital there. Steve comes from a long line of doctors. His father, his grandfather, his great grandfather, even two uncles were all specialists and/or surgeons in their chosen medical specialties, including internal medicine specialist, obstetrics / gynecology, neurosurgery and general practice / surgery. His great-great grandfather was the Surgeon General of Ohio during the Civil War.
