busy weekend

Two weeks ago friends and family of Brooks Law Group rallied to support two important events in our area. Saturday morning started early in the parking lot of LEGOLAND in Winter Haven for the Annual Brick Dash 5K presented by Publix to benefit Merlin’s Magic Wand, a global children’s charity. It was a beautiful day and the weather was great for a run! Not only was the scenery beautiful, but LEGOLAND characters lined the path to encourage participants along the way making it so much fun! Spirits were high in runners, walkers and supporters alike, each one celebrating such a wonderful cause.

Sunday morning brought a similar, but unique experience at Al Lopez Park as many assembled for Tampa’s 5th Annual Hunger Run/Walk 5k benefitting the Kaye Prox Food Bank. Canned goods filled the tent as people delivered food for the needy before beginning their race – so much creativity and hard work was put into supporting those in need. We were blessed to be able to give and doubly blessed to receive in return. The joy that comes through participating in such worthy causes far outweighs any gift or sacrifice on our part!

Brooks Law Group is thankful for individuals and groups that work to provide wholesome ways to give back to our communities. Special thanks to all who contributed, organized and participated!
