On Monday, June 27th, a local Retirement Home on Havendale Blvd. in Winter Haven, Florida; “Spring Haven” put on an Honor Flight Send-Off for the WWII Veterans. There were Patriotic Citizens who attended this event and even though it wasn’t the greatest of weather, there was a large turnout of support. Spring Haven started the program at 2:00 pm. The guest speakers included Congressman Dennis Ross and Sheriff Grady Judd. Thomas McClary of “the Commodores” sang the National Anthem. There was a Fantasy of Flight hot air balloon and a parade that started at 3:oopm. The parade included VFW’s, Mounted Police, Military Band, Bagpipes, a Flyover by Fantasy of Flight, and of course our honored Veterans.

The Brooks Law Group-Havendale Office is conveniently located right next to Spring Haven and the Parade went right by our office. We wanted to show our support for our Veterans and integrate with the local community so we put up our Brooks Law Group tent, wore red, white, and blue and waved our American Flags. We gave away free water, lunch boxes and signed up members of the community to our “Lost Keys Program.” Our “Lost Keys  Program” is a neat way for people to keep tabs on their keys…through us! It was an all-together, heartwarming experience and we were glad to be a part of it.
