This year I had the privilege to not only get to know Ms. Jessica Den Haese’s work, but to award her First Place in our Brooks Law Group Spring Scholarship Contest. Jessica is such a bright young lady who has gone through some difficult times the last few months, however, she has persevered and done great things in the community. To all of you who have been through a similar situation, know that there is a long road ahead; and like Jessica, never stop fighting to reach your goal because anything is possible.

Steve was born in New Orleans, Louisiana. As was the practice for new doctors his father worked day and night during his medical residency at Charity Hospital there. Steve comes from a long line of doctors. His father, his grandfather, his great grandfather, even two uncles were all specialists and/or surgeons in their chosen medical specialties, including internal medicine specialist, obstetrics / gynecology, neurosurgery and general practice / surgery. His great-great grandfather was the Surgeon General of Ohio during the Civil War.
